The new ones don't seem to be anything like asgoodas the originals.

Thisis good stuff; also, if your chrome has pitted, go over it with
some fine wire wool (wet), then warm up the article to dry it
completely, and rub in Waxoyl. Waxoyl is very good for preventing
rust, though on chrome it collects dirt & looks unsightly (you can
clean it off with paraffin or whatever); I treated my Morris van
chassis by taping up the holes, tipping out the old leaves&C. by
raising it into a vertical position, then on a hot summer day
pouring a pail of Waxoyl/paraffin 3:1 heated up on the gas cooker
into it, swishing around, & tipping out again! That reminds me, I
must get round to finishing that project off....
